Goliath

"Goliath" is an action/adventure RPG where you scavenge a procedurally-generated world for parts to outfit your giant robotic "Goliath" suit with different types of weapons. I put in as much time as I could playing this game. It got to a certain point where it began to get extremely boring, I will tell you why.

The AI are EXTREMELY easy to handle. You can walk over to, Let's say a little zombie/Gnome looking creature, Have it follow you to the water(Water heals your Goliath) and stand there while spamming the left-click on your mouse until you have destroyed about 10 of them while healing at the same time. I did that for about 5 minutes straight until I had killed them all and decided to attack a giant spider nest.

Water heals your ROBOT. No need to have your eyes checked or get your glasses. You read that correctly, Water heals a robot. You're in your robot wandering around, You're low on health. What do you do, Go for a swim! I mean, Are you kidding me?! You can also heal your Goliath by finding toolboxes. From the time I could stand playing, I started off with 5 toolboxes and they were gone after my first run in with the giant spiders.

The beginning story line is way too easy for people to do things. You start off watching your plane go down in some foreign land where everything is out to get you. Right from the start, You are told exactly where to go, What to do and what you need to collect in order to build your first Goliath. It's like they think we're stupid and have never played a PC game before.

The AI are way too strong. I built my Goliath and began running around the world to see if there was anything that could be the saving grace for this game. What I found was the complete opposite of that. I found a bird and thought, "Hey, Maybe I can kill it and get some food!". How wrong I was, One peck from that devilish little bird and I was down about a quarter health. This can be especially annoying for new players with Goliaths that aren't very strong.

The worst hit detection I have ever experienced. When you are in battle, You can constantly click one enemy, If another is a few inches away from the one you are attacking, Your Goliath will automatically switch to the other one. Same goes for looting. If you're trying to loot a skeleton that is next to a crate, Your guess is as good as mine as to which one you will ACTUALLY loot. For example, I was trying to loot a skeleton that was next to a cave, And it automatically sent me to the next area.

Don't even try to switch areas, You'll get stuck with horribly long loading times. I went to switch from one area to another and I got stuck on a 3 minute long loading screen(I timed it). I understand that it may take a while to load enemies and textures... But it shouldn't take that long!

All of the issues listed would be OK if the game was still in Alpha, But it's not! Before you go and waste your money in it, Let them fix the main issues of the game and make it more interesting! As of right now, It's just a copy and paste of the same game we have seen time and time again that is trying to pass as "Amazing". It has "Mostly Positive" reviews on Steam for whatever reason. I guess people like it, However, I find a lot of things wrong with it. Even the trailer is pure crap.
